| We are expecting our second son. For the first ones bris we did a bagel spread with different deli salads, lox etc. it was good but wanting to do something a little different for the second. It will be a very small group. Probably around 10 people. Suggestions? Does not need to be kosher. |

We may be doing something similar coming up, and I like the idea above of hummus and babaganoush and things like that. Easy and cheap enough to find some inexpensive packaged ones, add pita, Israeli salads etc. Yum. I think this is exactly what I may end up doing myself

Don't over think it. No one will care or remember. Do bagels and lox and whitefish and get a different cake if you want something different. It's a bris. People like easy and bagels. We used Bethesda Bagels (including their box of coffee) and got a small cake from Giant. It was at 2pm on a winter Friday. 18 people came.
