Good breakfast place in Bethesda

Don't know your budget... The places I know are fairly modest. Louisiana Kitchen is good for a New Orleans type breakfast.

I really like La Madeleine, but wouldn't say their food is the tops or anything. It's good, though. What I like is that it's a nice atmosphere, and you can refill your coffee whenever you like, and stay and chat as long as you want without anyone rushing you.

Thanks to both. No budget, just want a nice place.

Another vote for the Original Pancake House. Their bacon is absolutely amazing.

I totally don't get the Original Pancake House thing. Loud, crowded, carbfest. Their egg dishes are nasty and there's not a lot of variety on the menu--if you don't like pancakes, good luck.
Pain Quotidien's overpriced with rude service. Sorry, don't mean to be a curmudgeon, but it's true.

Louisiana Kitchen does a very good breakfast. So does Uncle Julio's, on the weekend. Not sure if they do it during the week.
Cafe Deluxe is unimaginative, but good.
For a no-frills diner, I really like Old Georgetown Grill. Cleaner and roomier than Tastee, and better coffee.

If you said Rockville instead of Bethesda, Mosaic is very good.

I agree, gross. May as well go to IHOP.
