We're about to begin out first IVF cycle and I ran across a posting from someone here whose BCBS coverage included cycle meds. Low and behold, I called BCBS and although my medical coverage doesn't include fertility anything, my drug coverage does. I am having Shady Grove process the authorization tomorrow, but it all sounds too good to be true.
Has anyone had luck or experience with this and if so, what was the process? Thank you! |
| My BCBS PPO covered a lot of my IVF meds. My RE's office just sent the Rx's to Freedom Pharmacy, and their customer service got my insurance info, interfaced w/ the insurance co,, let me know my total co-pays, I authorized that payment, and Freedom shipped everything to me. Could not have been easier. Good luck! |
| Great to know! You didn't have to go through their Argus pharmacy? |
| I didn't go to shady Grove for my RE, but you should be able to pick your pharmacy, especially if their 'preferred' pharmacy doesn't have the same services you should be getting! I feel like I have seen posts on DCUM re SG patients going to Freedom, so it can't be out if the question... |

I also have BCBS PPO. How much did you pay for a fresh IVF cycle meds? |
