Question for families at the Eastern Middle School Magnet re: extracurricular

If you live in another part of the county, are you kids involved in afterschool activities? If yes, how do they get home after the activities? Is there an activities bus that brings them home?

OP, I suggest you call the Eastern magnet office and ask about the activities buses. My DS goes to Eastern and plays sports after school, then takes the activities bus to Blair, but we live in that neighborhood.

I'm sure there are activities buses to other areas but the best thing to do is just ask. They are very helpful there.

Takoma has an activity bus schedule. Eastern must as well. There are a wide range of stops, all leaving from Blair.

It's the same group of buses. Kids take a shuttle from Eastern or Takoma to Blair, and transfer there to the activity bus that goes to their neighborhood. The transfer is easy and, for at least the first couple of weeks of school, there's someone there from Eastern or Takoma to make sure kids know how to make the transfer.
