curious about former interim superintnendent

Anonymous
Hello PG folks!
Parent in Alexandria City Public Schools here. Our district just hired Dr. Alvin Crawley to be the interim superintendent. I saw from the press release he was recently an interim superintendent for PG County Schools, so I was wondering what you all thought of his performance?
Thanks!

Dr. Crawley seemed like a decent guy. He was hired as a caretaker after Dr. Hite left and was generally considered the odds-on favorite to become a permanent superintendent before the county executive and delegation moved in Annapolis to change the structure of the PGCPS school board. I'd say he did a reasonable job as a caretaker and starting to clean up some of the mess that Dr. Hite left us, but he wasn't in a position to really push for strong changes.

I hope the new CEO can bring about change, the county really needs it.
