I don't think there is enough discussion about charter schools to support a separate forum. Charter schools are part of the DC public school system and DC is already the only area to have its own public school discussion forum. So, its probably best to keep charter school discussion combined with traditional public school discussion.

No, it doesn't cost money. However, many of our users prefer fewer forums. DC is the only region to even have its own public schools forum. VA and MD have to post public school questions in the General Schools forum. DC Charter schools are publicly funded. That makes them public. Also, we have a son at a charter school. So, its not like we have anything against charters. Its just that the discussion about them is appropriate for the current forum.
