| Will it be fun for my 19mo? What do you do there? Ok for single parents? |
|
A piece of land where they grow pumpkins. Pumpkins grow on a vine from the ground, so it is a cute photo op for little ones.
Not being snarky, I am curious where you are from, OP? |
| The big ones here are like fall fairs. Hayrides, hay slides, corn mazes, etc. Okay for a toddler, but they can get very crowded and busy. Fine for single parents, but again, you cant let them out of your sight. |
| pumpkin patch is a euphemism for genital warts. Be very wary, OP. Not joking. |
| All of them are so far away from DC. Where do you usually go? |
That is because they are pumpkin farms, you can't farm pumpkins on the national mall. We have been to several in MD that we have enjoyed, I would avoid cox farm in VA I found it overwhelming with an infant. |
Most have just the patch (for free) without all the extra. You can take a toddler to the pumpkin patch, snap some cute pictures and call it a day very easily. This was our first year taking our almost-3-year-old to the actual "pumpkin festival." Until now, she's been more than happy to visit the plain old pumpkin patch. Where are you located, OP? We can give you recommendations if you're looking for them. |

NO SINGLE PARENTS ALLOWED
Seriously it's a place you get a pumpkin. Why on earth would your marital status factor into this at all? |
|
A pumpkin patch is where pumpkins are grown.
Some places that have pumpkin patches also have fall festivals going on. We love Summers Farm in Frederick. |
Maybe OP was wondering if it was the type of activity that's best with two adults. |
Thank you. That is exactly why I asked a question. Why to be so obnoxious? |
I cannot think of any activity, except maybe a highly traumatic doctors appointment, where you would need two adults for one child. |
| I guess I will jus wait for a few years then. Thanks everyone for your time. |
| A patch with pumpkins? |
| I wanted to add - it is doable with one adult. Most activities are. It would even be doable with one adult and more then one child. |
