| My husband and I lived in New England several years ago while he was in the military. We'd love to move back, but don't know if the job market is there. He is a CPA with additional experience/degree in Information Systems. Also has a security clearance. We're thinking of Hartford, CT or the Boston suburbs (assuming he'd need to commute to Boston for work). Are there good job opportunities in Boston or Hartford (or, we are open to other New England cities) for a CPA? Are salaries comparable to those here in the D.C. metro? |
| Maybe you should post this in a New England forum? Something like city-data.com? They have topics under every state in the US. You can go under the states you are interested in and asked the locals about the job market. I moved here 8 years ago from Boston and work in finance, i still hve friends in the area who also work in Finance. Boston has decent openings for anyone working in Finance and the salaries would be comparable or above those in this area, don't know about Hartford. |
Hartford is a huge back office insurance operation. These credentials should land him a job without much trouble. |
| OP here - thanks for the tips. |
