Nothing, but we go to a parochial school so I wouldn't expect it there! We just celebrated the Feast of St. Francis today with an all-school Mass, followed by a blessing of the animals.

Nothing but we are gearing up for amputee history day

Our kid's k-8 is not featuring anyone LBGT but then, it (thankfully) does not highlight ANY minority group simply because the calendar tells it to do that this month.

Instead, the school hires a lot of gay, Asian, hispanic, black, etc faculty and administrators,and weaves diverse voices throughout the curriculum.

GDS, Sidwell, Sheridan and WIS are the most gay friendly private schools in DC

I'm shocked that the OP considers the following legitimate reporting, and not so shocked that schools might choose to highlight LGBT history.

GDS has been LGBT friendly for years. The school has a Parent Gay-Straight Alliance ("PGSA"):

The Parent Gay-Straight Alliance ("PGSA") is a group of parents, teachers and staff, gay and straight, working together to support the well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered ("GLBT") individuals, their families and the GDS community.
