Gynecologic Oncologist Referral

I have severe pre-cancerous cervical cells and need a Leep procedure. Has anyone had this done by a doc in the DC area? Anyone have the CO2 laser done?

I had a LEEP procedure performed last year by my OB/GYN at Foxhall. I have also seen Dr. Jeffrey Lin, the head of Gynecologic Oncology at Sibley. He is very friendly and professional and I would recommend him. If I were to do it again, I would probably have Dr. Lin perform my LEEP procedure. It is a painful procedure and I'm not sure it should be done in office. Just my opinion though. Good luck.

I concur with the PP on Dr. Lin. I saw him many years ago for a LEEP procedure when he was at GW. He was very professional, and the procedure (done as outpatient surgery) was successful. I don't recall it being very painful - more discomfort. Good luck.

I don't think he is considered a "Gynecologic Oncologist" but Dr. John Marlow is the best. His specialty is GYN surgeries. He's located on M St. in Foggy Bottom area.
