GW Hospital Radiology

Anyone go here for the 20 week ultrasound? My doctor is at the GW MFA practice, but I thought that for the big ultrasound, it would make sense to go to a radiologist.

Thanks!

I had my first ultrasounds at the hospital (on the first floor) because I had no luck with appointments at the MFA. But now, my US are at the MFA.

OP here. PP, do you mean you had your 20 week at the hospital? What is the difference between the hospital and MFA? Is the hospital generous with pictures?

As another option, you can try Washington Radiology Associates which is just around the corner from GW. The main scan and measurements are done by a technician, but the radiologist reviews all that and does a second "quick" scan (which was still a good 5-10 minutes or so). I went there for all three of my u/s (nuchal fold, then the big 20 week one and another at around 36 weeks) and was very pleased.

The hospital's ultrasound room is bigger, the scanner seems to be newer and it's easier to get appointments sooner than at the MFA. My 20 w US was at the hospital and then changed to MFA because I don't like the hospital environment except for the day my baby will born. And I think the results of the US are go faster to my OB doc if done at the MFA, at least that's my thought.
