Didn't want to hijack the maultaschen thread, so here's a new one. If someone knows a deli or restaurant where I can procure any of the following, I'd be very grateful:

Fresh pork pies

Bitterballen

Turo Rudi

Pastitsio

Thanks for the pastitsio tip. I made it once. It took all day, messed every pot I owned and tasted fantastic. The clean up session afterwards is not something I wish to repeat at eight months pregnant :LOL:

Have you checked out the food aisles at World Market? They have a lot of imported stuff (although shelf-stable only).
