The largest is 16mm.
Any chance we'll retrieve more? I'm sharing with two couples, so the number of eggs matters. On the other hand, I got a ton of eggs last time and had a miscarriage, so maybe I'll just focus on quality over quantity. |
| I always had more than they saw on the ultrasound, but I would guess that that's variable. |

Oy, I remember the anxiety of this all too well. Definitely hope for quality over quantity - the number of eggs that fertilize is way more important than just the number retrieved. But 15 is a really, really good number - even if you're sharing. Hopefully at least 2/3rds will fertilize and you'll have several strong chances.
Good luck!!! |

Well, she only has to produce 12 mature eggs for you to stay in the game. It is likely that there are a few smaller ones hiding that they can't see to count, so come ER they may retrieve more--they just might not be mature.
GL--I know how nerve-wracking the updates can be! |
| That is a good number. I had like 6-8 that they thought looked good and were watching and somehow ended up with 22 eggs retrieved. At one point I thought it was so dire they might cancel the cycle and kick me out of shared risk. It all came together in the end. Good luck! |
Agreed, I was told I had "4, maybe 6" what they thought were good follicles and they ended up retrieving 12 eggs. |

OP here, and we're up to 16, plus I suspect they just can't count some because the biggest is the same size as yesterday. Nurse says she may stim two more days, which gives me confidence that they'll retrieve a decent number. The good thing is they don't just divide the eggs, they divide the mature eggs, so I get at least 4 and it's looking like maybe more.
Thanks for the support. |
