How much do you spend on groceries?

I spent $584.45 on groceries for a family of three -2 adults and one teen. What do you spend? Trying to gauge what is normal.

I dropped $280 yesterday for this week -- 21 meals, all planned. Family of two adults and two kids. The milk gets delivered on Wednesday and that's another $25.

We budget $140/week for family of two adults and one teen. That includes dogfood, paper towels, booze, etc.

$300 for a family of 5.

About $750/month for 3 of us, shopping mostly at Whole Foods and rarely eating out (less than 1x/mo.)

We budget $500 for family of 3 (two adults, one toddler) but that also includes dog food and paper products (tissues, paper towels).

Our current budget is $250/month for a family of 4 (one toddler and one breastfeeding infant so really 2.5 people).

We budget $120/week for fresh foods (mostly from WF) and then get toiletries/tp/pt/dry pantry items every other month or so at Costco ($200-300 avg bill). 2 adults. We cook a lot. I'm expecting and trying to limit salt intake, artificial ingredients, and processed foods.

We easily spend $1000/month shopping at WF exclusively for a family of 4. I've tried shopping at Safeway and Giant and find that I don't really save any money.

We usually spend $250-$300 on groceries per 10-14 days for two of us. This includes paper products, but not dog food which is an additional $60 a month.
We both bring lunch to work every day, drink coffee at home, and eat out maybe twice in that 10-14 day time frame. We have a little one on the way so we're seriously trying to cut back on going out.

Is this per day, week, month?

It's about $50/week for 2 adults & 1 toddler. This is only for food (fruits, juice, snacks, veggies & meat), not including paper products, detergents and cleaning supplies.

Is it low? I split my shopping among Asian supermarkets - Great Wall in Merrifield or HMart - for vegetables; Trader Joes or SuperA (local Latino market) for milk - and Giant and/or Safeway for the balance depending on what's on special. I usually get meats on sale at either Giant or Safeway. Sometimes also hit Harris Teeter.
