I know this could be seen as making a big deal out of nothing, but I'm interested in your opinion. We are going as guests, the friends taking us aren't Skins fans either - just have box seats from their company. I am a Ravens fan and have only their gear, but I am a beltway supporter and if I had Skins I'd wear it. So if I wear it should I be worried about unwanted negative attention or even comments about it? Just wear regular clothes and avoid it?
Thanks! |
| I don't think anyone would really care, but why chance it? You are guests and don't want to do anything to embarrass your hosts, or call attention to yourselves, right? |
| You would never be invited again if you showed up like that and I, or my husband, invited you. |
| I have gone to a lot of games and there are always a few people who are wearing the jerseys of neither team that is playing. I have always thought that was really strange. And speaking for myself only, I am a lifelong Redskins fan who fucking hates the Ravens. So I have to agree with PP. |

I have been to 5 different stadiums to watch my team play opponents. The only one where we were subjected to negative comments, which was actually on-going belligerent comments, was at a redskins game. And. We weren't cheering against the redskins or being overly enthusiastic when cheering for ours. Rudest fans ever. Those guys ruined my experience.
Generally I would have no problem with wearing what ever team shirt you wanted. Not here. Don't wear the shirt. |

You obviously aren't a fan of either of these teams or you would know the answer to that question.
You MAY be able to get away with it if they were playing the Ravens, but just random? No. Just....no. |
+1 |
| No big deal. Of course, I'm a Ravens Fan who lives in Washington, and I really wish DC would change the Skins' name to something that wasn't totally racist. However, if you ever read the history of the team, it is totally racist. That's why so many people around here used to support the Cowboys! |
| Go get new shirts or just wear a regular shirt. We have had out of town guests wear their team shirt for the team playing and we sat in that section but what you are doing is just strange. |
| Are you really silly? |
| This is dumb. You know the answer. Don't wear it. |
| I am as uninterested in football as it gets and even I know the answer to this. Just wear regular clothes. |
|
I don't really get this question- the Redskins-Ravens aren't playing this week, right? So why would you wear Ravens attire to the game?
FWIW, I don't see a problem with wearing the attire of the opposing team to the game. My favorite team plays several states away so I can't go to the "home" games very often, so when they come to Baltimore I jump at the chance to go. And yup, I wear my team's jersey, no big deal. Sure, I get some comments from obnoxious Ravens fans but who cares?

+1 I saw some inexpensive Skins tees are Marshall's last week. |
