| Any ideas for a yummy dessert that would be fun to make with my 3 year old? Looking for something tasty, relatively easy and easy to transport (taking it to friend's house). Thanks! |
| Jello instant pudding in a pre-made pie shell and topped with whipped cream from the store? |
|
Dirt cake--pudding, crushed up oreos, throw in a couple of gummy worms.
|
Regular jello. It's a wonder to them and they have wait for it so they get all excited. |
| Anything really. We've done cookies, banana bread. |
|
Google "finger jello." It's jello with extra gelatin added, so it's firm enough to eat with your hands. Toddlers love it.
Dirt cake also sounds fun. |

I Agee with pp, you can make anything. Just have DC add stuff to the bowl, turn the sifter, spoon out cookies onto the sheet. Anything. Our last two items were oatmeal cookies and banana cupcakes (she loved mashing the bananas).
Just have fun! |
+1 2.5-year-old DS and I make lots of cookies & zucchini bread. A lot of our recipes come from the Sesame Street baking with kids cookbook. His favorite recipe right now is "gooey thumbprints": sugar cookies with jam in the center. Yum! |
| Trifle. |

| Anything I'm making. If he's in the mood to help he will help measure and dump. If he isn't being helpful, I give him his own bowl and have him stir in each ingredient as I go (except eggs) so he can make a mess or eat it or whatever. |
