Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, TX 267,000

Austin-Round Rock- San Marcos, TX 90,000
Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro-Franklin, TN 71,000
Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill, NC-SC 70,000

I'm curious as to which schools have most local prominence in these areas.

My guess would be:

Houston- Texas, Texas A&M
Dallas-Texas, SMU
San Jose- obviously Stanford and Cal - but they have national prominence - any local?
Austin- Texas
Nashville- Vanderbilt
Charlotte- UNC
