We just had our ER yesterday and only got 2 eggs. There were at least 4-5 follicles at the last ultrasound. Has anyone had success with only 2 eggs retrieved? I've never had more than 6 eggs retrieved but this was our lowest yield ever.
We're just waiting now for the fertilization report and are on pins and needles to see if this round works. I'm a low responder and this is our 5th IVF attempt...we're hoping this is a case of quality over quantity. |
| I don't have experience with this myself, but if this cycle doesn't work for you (and it might!), consider checking out Life IVF, or natural cycle IVF at Dominion. (I have no affiliation with either, but think they have good approaches for patients like you.). Good luck. |

You just need one good egg and lots of positive thoughts....
hugs and best wishes to you. A lot will depend on the fertilization report. Good Luck !!! |
| You only need one - my sons best friend is a result of an ER that only yielded 2 eggs. |
| I had success with one egg retrieved. It only takes one. Good luck. |
| Thanks all. Got the fertilization report. Nothing fertilized. Worst cycle yet. Back to the drawing board... |

Shit.
I'm really sorry. |
| Sorry OP. natural cycle is made for people low responders. The price includes ICSI, so fertilization is much more likely. |
| What is your age and AFC? |
| OP here. ICSI was done on all cycles so I'm not sure that fertilization is any more likely with a natural cycle with ICSI. I'm 35 and tha AFC was 5-6, which is about where I always am. I'm not giving up quite yet but this is making it really hard to keep the faith that this will happen. |
| I had 3 failed IVFs with 2, 4 and 6 eggs retrieved. However, I did get pregnant trough IUI after that. I think IVF might not work for some people. |
I'm sorry OP

| My BFF was successful with only 2! |
| Had 3 eggs retrieved, 2 implanted, twin pregnancy resulted in one beautiful baby! |
| It is. Friend got only two eggs and now has twins. |
