| This may already have been discussed...but has anyone that watched this show notice that Guiliana just doesn't seem into her baby? She always looks so awkward with him and ready to pass him off. |

| Yes. She seems more like a babysitter. She also just seems a bit clueless about child care. But otoh, it's also reality tv, which might make her feel kind of awkward. |

I don't mean to start a war, but my guess is her perceived distance is a result of the surrogacy... Partly her personality, maybe, but also - if she's sort of self-centered anyway, and a bit clueless of child care, then add to the mix she didn't carry the baby... There is the seemingly distant relations toward baby.
Obviously, everyone mothers differently (and obviously some mothers under the dame circumstances can bond very strongly with their children) , but I do wonder if she would seem more attached if she carried the baby. |

I think she is trying to be funny about it so the show is more entertaining but it is coming off as awkward. |

| I gotta say I was thinking this myself. The episode where he was carrying the baby while she was pushing the luggage was just weird. It seems that he is always carrying the baby and she just seems detached. I wonder if she has PPSD? I like her so this isn't snark. She seems like she has worked so hard to get where she is but the visuals with her and the baby are just strange. |

I agree with you, I feel that when a woman carries her child there is a surge of "maternal hormones" that can make it easier to bond with baby. But, I have friends who adopted a baby and have an incredible bond and are incredible mothers. But, it is probably more of a factor of her being self centered and more interested in her clothes and hair than a baby. But, it seems so strange that she wants another even with her not being that into her child. It is strange that she being so skinny and frail looking would rather push a pile of luggage and not carry her own baby. |

Two reasons she might never carry the baby on the show:
-always walking in 5-inch heels= dangerous to carry a baby around -reconstructive surgery sensitivity or if she has prosthetics she doesn't want them to shift |

Yup, I know a few people who know her directly. Reportedly, she has always said that she was going to get to Hollywood and be famous, well before she was. He parents are Italian immigrants and her dad is a well known local tailor, he had a shop for years and years at White Flint Mall. Also, she lies like a rug about her age. I know someone who went to highschool with her at one of the big MCPS high schools (BCC? Whitmann?) and she is well over 40, no question. 42 at the absolute youngest, more likely 44. |

| I always have my husband carry our son when I have the choice because he's stronger and less clumsy. She fought like hell to have a child. |

A few thoughts...
I do not think she is lying about her age. I love her new haircut! Every product they use on the show is like an advertisement. (Treadmill, Home Goods, etc.) |
