College Topics to Discuss - DHS Booklet on how to handle an active shooter scenario

Anonymous
I never expected that after yesterday's events and all the other events that have come to pass recently - that I would sit down and talk to my son about how to handle an active shooter scenario in the case it ever happened at his school or anywhere for that matter. I found this link and thought it would be helpful for other parents in case you would want to discuss this with them.

These are terrible times and although he is out of the house, having to prepare him for how the world is now is something I think we all must do.

I found this booklet helpful - hope this helps you all! I also found this pocket card which I will print and have him carry around. We always worry about our kids no matter how old they are.

A candidate for Governor of Maryland posted this today on Facebook. I don't support him but my cousin commented on it so it showed up in my feed. He is a former Secret Service agent and shared what is IMO good information.
