Gave notice. Now it's good and awkward.
How to make it thru the next two weeks without going bazerk. I had nothing to do before I resigned...so now I'm sure I'll have even less. Suggestions for good distraction? |
Take walks. |
S/O from another thread: get started on your holiday shopping! Catch up on the news. Have leisurely lunches with your office colleagues. Spend time on Pinterest.
Congrats on giving notice, since it's clear that was what you wanted! Are you on to another job or taking time off? |
| People will start coming to you to say goodbye and, in my experience in leaving a couple of jobs, will start sharing all sorts of gossip that you never would have heard if you stayed. |
| Take long, leisurely lunches with your co-workers. Do some networking with them. |
| New job! |
| Do you work for the Feds? If so, start on the exit paperwork. It is very time consuming. |
That's what was great about being a federal contractor. I was told I was being laid off via email and didn't have to do anything with HR before I left; no exit interview, just leave my badge and laptop with my boss. It's as if I didn't exist anymore. |
