Hi - has anyone ever gotten into this center who was not on the priority waitlist? I'm wondering if I need to spend the $500 to get in or if I have a chance without it. Also, any feedback on either Spring Hill or Greensboro would be great. |
I know people who have gotten in without priority status, but its been a few years now, and I'm not sure how long the wait was. I preferred the Bright Horizons on Greensboro and had our child go there instead (it only goes to age 3 though). A couple of my child's classmates at BH went on the TCCC on Spring Hill at age 3, and said they were very happy with it - they have a nice little playground. I believe it was much easier to get in for 3 yo's than for infants, especially because you could get on the waiting list well ahead of time. |
We toured there. The priority waitlist price left me with a bad taste and we did do it. Before forking over $500 I would want some serious assurance about the chances of getting in. |
i'm a parent at TCCC - DS is 2 and has been there since week 12. I can't IMAGINE getting in any other way than the priority waitlist at either site. i know they have NEVER been underenrolled since i have been there and supposedly it's been years since they have not been fully enrolled -- ie -- there are plenty of people waiting to get spaces in. even being on the priority waiting list is tough -- my neighbor put her name on the list before DD was born and still wasn't space avail when DD was 12 weeks....
greensboro is bigger -- BUT i know many families who switch kids from spring hill to greensboro as kids get older (and/or when the older kid ages out of SPring Hill, they move the older one AND younger one over....) so a lot of spaces at greensboro end up being filled internally so to speak. if you want in -- go priority.... |
Stupid question - what's TCCC? |
