Do you think I can/should wear this? How exactly?

mid-30's, 5-2, 135lbs. Fairly athletic and in-shape, but a bit of post-baby pooch.

First question: leggings. Am I too old for these? Granted, I haven't worn them as actual clothes since... high school? But they look so comfy Am I just past the point of leggings and an oversized top + cute scarf for cooler weather? I am thinking of weekend-mom-wear.

#2: Everything I see has leggings paired with boots. It's cute, but it's just never gonna happen for me. Leggings, oversized sweater, cute sneakers? Like the cute puma flats or whatever? Is this even vaguely permissable? Any other shoe suggestions?

For some reason I have no kind of casual wear... I go straight from workwear to pajamas, my closet has a big hole in the middle.

Leggings with boots are cute.

Leggings with sneakers, not so cute.

I am 5-2 and 115 lbs and leggins and oversized tops are really hard to pull off when you are on the shorter side. Just look dumpy. Look into those "skinny" jeans made with fabrics (not jeggings) but leggings with structure with boots. Much better.

Thanks for posting this bc I am 5-4 closer to 5-3 and 130 and I keep thinking if I can just take off 20 lbs that look will work for me. I think it just never will.

Leggings only look good on skinny teenagers. Wear them under a dress or something.

Why don't you like boots?

Skinny jeans v leggings. Ballet flats (the Puma kind if you want) if you can't do boots. But why not? Boots are my best friend. Make sure your top is tunic-y and cute, not like a ratty old sweatshirt.

You can totally wear leggings. But you need to remember the cardinal rule. Leggings are not pants. So if your legging + shirt combo means you can see asscheeks, add a mini.

Leggings work with boots, flats, MJs, sneakers but cool looking ones.

I feel like you need to be shorter to pull off the leggings/tunic/no skirt combo. When I do it, there is such a giant expanse of leg that it's a bit much.
