Not an overly elegant "Georgetown" look, but a more humble Gustavian look.

I'm clearly the mother of boys because I look at that and simultaneously think "It's beautiful" and "how many nano seconds would all that stay white in my house?" I can't imagine that look unless I had a separate room that was off limits to my kids entirely, except perhaps one 5 minute pose for the Chrismas card photo. If you could pull it off though, I think it's a beautiful look. |

It doesn't look like anyone would actually llive there.
|
| I never understand why some people set up their dining room table as if they are just about to sit down to eat. Ridiculous. Put that china away. |
| Why would anyone pay that much to live in a townhouse |
| Over the top and pretentious for a family house unless you live in Georgetown and are loaded. OK if you're a rich single/couple. |

There are plenty of apartments for rich widows in Manhattan that look like that. All that is missing is the Pomeranian.
Not very family-friendly, though. |
| I think it is ornate and hideously ugly. If I walked into that room I would immediately feel uncomfortable and assume the owner of the home was a rich person with bad taste. |
