How much notice to give?

I've just been offered a job that starts in a little over a month. How much notice am I required to give?

2 weeks is standard but you can always give more IF you want.

2 is standard but as a manager I would say 2 is not enough time, since the replacement also has to give 2 weeks that means there is no overlap. I would love if my employees gave 4 so they could overlap with the new employee for a bit, but I know this is tough to do.

That depends. If there's not chance you'll need references from any of your supervisors and are unlikely to find yourself working with them in the future, give the absolute minimum. I gave 2 weeks notice in August, worked another 3 days and was told not to come back. This is common to save money.

I'm senior management and would give no less than 4 weeks.

And I'm hoping I have that opportunity soon.
