Can anyone offer their experiences (good and bad) with either Dr. Rossi or Dr. Piness on their scheduled c-section? Or, emergency if need be?
Thanks! |
I had a c-section performed by Dr. Piness a little over a year ago, which was not planned (was induced and then failed to progress). I have nothing to compare it to, but I thought Dr. Piness did a great job and I will use her again for my next child. My incision healed well and I had a fairly easy recovery. I was also happy with the other people at VHC involved in the procedure, particularly the anesthesiologists. The only downside was that there were a few medical students observing the procedure, which made me a bit uncomfortable at first, but I quickly forgot they were there. |
I had a scheduled c-section with Dr. Piness 3 years ago and have since had a VBAC with her. Speaking specifically to the c-section, I thought she was great from the moment I found out I needed to have one. I was a mess in the office when I found out that I needed the c-section and she was so kind and sympathetic and let me be a blubbering idiot.
My incision also healed nicely and there was a resident in the delivery room assisting Dr. Piness. This did not bother me. I like that VHC is a teaching hospital and that the doctors are current on the latest techniques. I stayed at VHC for 4 nights and they took great care of me. I wish I could have stayed longer. |
