Do kids attend? I had assumed yes, but am now second guessing myself. School is Takoma EC, if that is relevant.
The kids didn't at DEAL. Maybe different for elementary.
Not at our charter. Call the school if you're not sure.
Good idea to call the school. I may be mistaken, but my understanding is that Back to School night is for the parents to get to talk with the teachers, and that kids stay home.
Kids came to ours - in the classroom it was fine, but when the principal had everyone together in the auditorium the volume of chit-chat and kids trying to occupy themselves was too high. If you can keep your kids away from a large-group portion of a back-to-school night, do so.
Not at our school, and there also is no babysitting that night, but it is not unusual to have kids hanging out quietly in the halls if their parents can't find a sitter.
There were some kids at Deal in the all of the classrooms we visited last night. |
Thanks all. I called the school and they said kids are OK. I'll bring some books to keep him occupied.
Guess my child's team kids were at home eating dinner and doing homework. There were none in the classes I visted. |
at my local elementary they do child care in the cafeteria during it.
Bridges didn't say we couldn't bring them, but we were in a pretty small room where it would've been hard to hear if there were kids there.
The only adult only event of the year for Inspired Teaching...and still people complained that they couldn't bring their kids.
at Murch there was free babysitting offered, we have two kids there and took advantage of it
