Given what we know about how miserable Trump is to work for and how abusive he is even to his loyal plebes, is it not possible that there is a contingent, even if small, of WH aides who are most certainly NOT liberal who want to undermine Trump? Pence may not be the charismatic autocrat Trump is but he’ll do; he’s certainly pulling for the same issues (tax breaks, end Social Security / Medicare, gun rights, end abortion access, theocracy, Isreal, etc). The calculus would be to get the lunatic out of the office before he further damages the party and install someone who is inclined to serve the Dominionist agenda without the constant drama and recklessness. |

Those pinkos on the Wall Street Journal’s editorial board have spoken:
"Bolton can help everyone, including himself, by erasing any doubt about what he knows. He can tell the American public what he wrote—now, before the Senate votes on witnesses. Lay it all out." https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-john-bolton-report-11580170841?redirect=amp#click=https://t.co/5YvgqzjYDM |
You know what mobs do to snitches? |
| Most of what Bolton did is classified. Not sure what his book can say? |
People like to think in black and white, but no. Bolton is famous for harassing underlings and colleagues when he's upset. Not a sympathetic character AT ALL. He has also defended some pretty heinous actions taken by previous administrations. However, he is not a habitual liar like the President, and in this instance he is telling the truth. We don't need to like people to include their witness accounts. |
+1 At this point he’s just providing corroboration of what we already know, but he can go a little further with what he saw personally. |
Contrary to what this administration thinks, not every conversation with the president is classified. |
Damn! There goes your shot at getting Trump off on a technicality. |

As expected, Trump will block Bolton from speaking or publishing |
Now that Trump has tweeted about it, it is no logger privileged or classified. |
Hence the "box" that puts the administration in. It could force the District Court (is that Merrick Garland?) to declare there are crimes involved and thus not able to block the testimony. |
| Once again -- taking every possible step to prevent a witness from testifying is not something innocent people do. |
As expected, Trump will TRY TO block Bolton from speaking or publishing. |
"My" shot? I certainly do not wish to see Trump go scot free. I am saying that the leak came from one of usual leakers in the White House. We'd almost forgive them for being there in the first place! |
