Father was a James Joyce scholar. Terrible name. Worse dad. I wonder if he goes by John now.

There was a family in Fairfax whose kids were named Quantum, Quark and Quasar. Presumably the dad was some kind of scientist.

+1 I've heard Sinjin in movies or maybe it was a show? I don't think it was a bad name.
I like unique names so kids aren't relegated to skinny Miles, Old Miles or Miles S

Quark rolls out like Clark. Quasar sets the kid up for too much expectation

I knew a kid growing up named Qasar (he was Pakistani-American, pronounced KAH-ser) and teachers would always call the poor kid Quasar.

I really dislike the Greek and Roman mythology names. I’ve met two kids named Apollo and one named Atlas.

The oddest name I’ve personally encountered is Fenix.

"Stin"-jin is weird- it's usually pronounced sin-jin. Apparently it's similar to how Sinclair evolved from St. Clair.
