Big Beautiful Bill

What about that pesky provision that says the courts can’t place injunctions on the executive branch? Any chance the senate keeps that in? The courts are thr only thing saving us from this administration going completely hogsh$t wild.

They'll get steamrolled just like the House. Debt limit is tick-tocking away.

Maybe they'll grow a pair (or get scared by the bond markets) and strip it down to brass tacks. The defense and border security they want, with some payfors, and the debt limit increased. That's what Senate originally wanted but House wasted months of time with this crap and Dear Leader wanted One Big Beautiful Bill.

But they'll probably get rolled in the end too. We'll see who's scarier. Dear Leader or bond markets?

Yep.

Republicans are the ones who should be scared. A bunch of them are going to lose big in the midterms.

You think there will be fair midterm elections?

Remember, Trump won, so there will be no further elections. I heard it again and again right here.

Well, it’s either elections — in some form, or revolution— in some form. Unless Trump takes his big beautiful new plane to some undisclosed location, there will probably be elections altogether they might be nighter free nor fair.

Edit: …there will probably be elections, ALTHOUGH they might be NEITHER free nor fair.

+1 Russia still holds elections.

Who is winning in this bill?

Add the icnreased costs for tariffs and it is a double whammy for the poor.

A very large percentage of them voted for this. We need to continually remind them that this is a direct result of voting for Trump.

Ukraine has held free and fair elections but currently has postponed their election due to wartime and it being unsafe to set up polling stations in many parts of the country.

Duh. Of course this was going to be all about a con to make a whole lot of money for a whole lot of people. It has zero to do with deporting people. It is a money making scam.

This is terrifying. I just saw a Youtube short that was particularly effective in explaining how bad it is. It also applies retroactively.
