2024 Girls Lax WCAC ISL Outlook

Interesting rankings, and even more interesting who coaches mention to the writer who prints it.

Nice to get an early top 5 match up tomorrow at Good Counsel. GCS will be down this year but still have some nice pieces, but are ranked way too high - they won't finish top 4 in the IAAM.

I know "everyone" here hates Baltimore, but the Post could take some lessons from the Sun on how to cover high school sports.

Agree; that list was a bit embarrassing in its construction; and just parroting the coach on certain players/teams, while mentioning no players for other teams, was a strange approach.

This list is a joke. WP most likely talked to the coaches who were listed by name to compile. Look forward to seeing how accurate this list is come end of May.

I hate anything that doesn't agree with how I see the world! Punch table with fist! Very mad!

Visi, St John's & Yorktown all overranked.

Ok, who would you put?

Potomac should be on the list

Potomac has an insane ‘25 class.

How Is Visi ramping up the hype ? Maybe some parents herein are talking about them a lot but they are heads down working to catch up with teams that have been practicing for a week Or more than they have had and have several more practice games.

The girls are getting to know a new coach and each other after graduating 8 seniors in 23. Just doing their best.

They recognize the intense competition, want to win but are not at all presenting themselves as the best team as much as many dads on here would like to portray them as.

Still only IAAM. Bottom of WCAC/ISL not really good enough and those are the coaches keep voting against it, according to our coach. It doesn't benefit them at all because they typically need longer possessions.

There is also the equipment issue that gets brought up, but hard to believe that these schools don't have the budget for a couple of portable shot clocks.

Agreed, can't be that crazy expensive to have clocks on the field. I think it's the added responsibility schools don't want to take on

“Insane” is a pretty extreme word. Let’s go with “talented” or “strong”
