What happened was that he's chosing to consider himself intimidated by 4hrs of grand jury questioning when so many other upstanding Americans have gone through many more hours, and sometimes live, on national television, in much more intense circumstances. Also, he was assured he could talk publicly about his "dreadful ordeal", so he's interpreting that to mean there was an attempt to silence him... while talking publicly about his "dreadful ordeal".
