Is it possible to get a software job after 6 years gap

Anonymous
I have worked for 2.5 years into software developement and been a SAHM since then. I have not done anything to add value to my CV. I want to get back but do not know how? I feel it's very difficult to study everything to prepare for interview. I don't even think that I will get a call for interview. Has anyone been in the same boat? What's your experience? How shall I approach? Build the CV and start applying or try to study and then apply. I don't have the confidence to face the interview. Don't know where and how to begin.

Sorry, but probably not. The best thing for you to do is to join coding meetup groups, make some contacts, invest in learning xyz language du jour and then go from there. The past 6 years have seen tremendous changes - cloud computing and mobile the most notable. Pick an area you find interesting and get back up to speed - then you will have something meaningful to add to your CV while you are networking.
