| Considering the cost of these houses, what's with the lack of sidewalks? Seems like a hazard for walking and biking. Any recommendations for sidewallked neighborhoods in the Old G./Wilson/Bradley area? Thanks in advance. |
| Homes closest to the schools will have sidewalks - those children are too close to be on a bus route and will walk/car to school. |
| 20:23 - is that true PP? NV does not work that way (that would require too much common sense), so I am curious. |
| East Bethesda has sidewalks |
| Most of Battery Park (between Wilson Lane and Old Georgetown Road) has sidewalks, sometimes on only one side though. With 2 small children, this was an important issue for us. |

I have no idea if this is true, but someone once told me that if there are no sidewalks public transportation (busses) won't ever have a route through the neighborhood.
I don't know if it was true or is true but just one theory I've heard... |
| 23:06 - PP here. Again, not so in NV. Clearly it is not a funding problem, so what gives? |
It is an unfortunate result in the United States being ahead of its time in the 1950's and 1960's, when many suburbs were designed: cars were all the rage then. Now, 50 years later, the tide has turned (at least in larger cities), but it's extremely expensive to retroactively make roads pedestrian friendly. |
Not the homes closest to Wisconsin. Need to walk in the narrow road to get to the dining/shopping areas. |
| The neighborhoods west of Old G-Town, between Greentree and Bradley, have sidewalks on many, but not ALL, the streets. |
