I will be meeting a co-worker at a metro station to pick up some work stuff and wanted to know if I will charged the fare for longest distance on that line if I take the metro and don't come out of the fare gate and then take the metro back to my starting point. TIA

if you don't come out of the gate and come out the same place you started, you'll be charged the lowest rate -- 1.35 off peak and 1.65 peak.
