I'm sure this explanation will provoke a riot, but I was afraid that it violated the terms of service for our Google Ads. I didn't want to get in trouble over it. I've received warnings about similar pictures in the past.

Violated our policy about links with no text. When a poster posts a link without some commentary explaining what is important about the link, posters tend to think the link might lead to malware, that the link is spam, etc. Our FAQ says not to post such links.
Regarding the previous post about Google policies, when Google sends warnings or even cuts off ads, they don't tell you which exact policy you violated. It's really frustrating. As such, I've started to rely on my hunches about what Google will get upset about. I can't guarantee that post would have caused a problem, but it was my gut feeling that it would.
