CVS after care instructions?

Anonymous
I am preparing to schedule a CVS and remember seeing a long list of after care instructions but now I can't find it. Before I can schedule, I wanted to make sure that I didn't have anything planned for the day or two afterward if I should be resting.

Can anyone else tell me what their instructions were? I'm assuming I probably won't be exercising for a couple of days, maybe spending a day in bed? Thanks so much.

I had this done two months ago, and you can also research past threads from around that time (which were very helpful to me). Some people stayed home from work for a day or two. I went to work (desk job), but didn't exercise for several days afterwards. I was already so tired from being in the first trimester that I just slept a lot those first few nights, but nothing really CVS-specific.

The whole experience was great for me, without any adverse effects, but at that time, I was concerned about exactly these same things. Good luck!

I had my CVS last week (they went through my stomach) and it really wasn't bad. The told me to limit standing for the next 48 hours after the procedure and not to lift more than 10lbs. When you go for your appointment they will review everything. Good luck!!

I was told to stay off my feet as much as possible for 24 hours and then to take it easy for the next 5 days. I had the procedure done on a Friday morning, then spent the rest of the day on the couch. I didn't do anything too strenuous over the weekend (but was back to the usual routine of cooking/laundry/grocery shopping, etc.), and was back to work on Monday.

I physically felt fine afterwards -- just tired from the emotional stress of the situation. Best of luck!
