I defrosted ground chicken in cold water in the sink. Last minute dinner plans came up, is it okay to leave it in the fridge and cook it tomorrow or should I quickly cook it now? |

| This is not professional advice but this is what I do: if I froze it before the expiry day I allow myself to wait to cook it in situations like that. But I only wait a day or two. If I remember that I froze it on the expiry date, I toss it. |
