We stayed at the Westin Vendome and loved it. Right across from Jardin de Tulleries. Walking distance to Louvre and many other places.

Another recommendation for the Westin. It was a beautiful property and very centrally located. Although I tend to agree that if money weren't an object, I'd go for something like the George V.

If you are looking for a charming and more budget-friendly option, we just had a great stay at Hotel Le Clement in the 6th arr. Fantastic location!

I like Prince de Galles, Paris - it is a Starwood property (you can use points!) and it is right next door to George V. Not quite as sublime but still amazing and same fant-abulous neighborhood.
