Sesame Place

We are trying to decide whether to take our 1 year old and 3 year old to Sesame Place for a day this fall. We would need to go on a Saturday or Sunday. Thinking maybe leave at 6 am on Saturday, get there by 9:30 (hopefully) to be in the park when it opens at 10. Stay until 1 or so, then go for a drive and let the kids nap in the car. Go back around 3 for another 2 or 3 hours, and then head to a hotel for the night and drive back on Sunday morning. But, it seems really expensive for a day. Did your 3 year old enjoy it enough to make it worth while? Is there anything that the 1 year old can do? Will it be crazy busy on a Saturday in the fall? Any hotels nearby that you recommend? We've done Dutch Wonderland already this summer, so trying to find something else fun to do.

Thanks!

At that age, do you really need to spend so many hours there? Our kids are about the same age as yours, and i thought 2-3 hours was plenty (for me at least). We went on a weekday however so maybe waiting in line is a big difference. Personally i would hate taking kids that age through long lines.

The 1 year old can do some rides like the teacups and carousel, and the splash park.

There is stuff for a one year old and your 3 year old will like it. However, pick a warm weekend. The water is cold and it is mostly water stuff. I wouldn't do the drive and pay the entrance fee for the dry rides alone unless you have a big Sesame fan. There won't be particularly long waits in the fall.

We have kids the same age. We are just going to go for 3-4 hours one Saturday. We don't want to return after naps. Instead, we are thinking about getting a hotel in Philly and going to their zoo on Sunday morning.

I have a promo code for $20 off of Sesame Place for weekends single day admission for Sept and Oct. I think you can use this up to 6 tickets.

Got it from a fundraising booklet I purchased from preschool months ago. So, you can have this OP if you want. I just need maybe a fax or an email, i can make a copy and send it as an attachment. It says you have to purchase online with them.
