We are trying to decide whether to take our 1 year old and 3 year old to Sesame Place for a day this fall. We would need to go on a Saturday or Sunday. Thinking maybe leave at 6 am on Saturday, get there by 9:30 (hopefully) to be in the park when it opens at 10. Stay until 1 or so, then go for a drive and let the kids nap in the car. Go back around 3 for another 2 or 3 hours, and then head to a hotel for the night and drive back on Sunday morning. But, it seems really expensive for a day. Did your 3 year old enjoy it enough to make it worth while? Is there anything that the 1 year old can do? Will it be crazy busy on a Saturday in the fall? Any hotels nearby that you recommend? We've done Dutch Wonderland already this summer, so trying to find something else fun to do.
Thanks! |

At that age, do you really need to spend so many hours there? Our kids are about the same age as yours, and i thought 2-3 hours was plenty (for me at least). We went on a weekday however so maybe waiting in line is a big difference. Personally i would hate taking kids that age through long lines.
The 1 year old can do some rides like the teacups and carousel, and the splash park. |
| There is stuff for a one year old and your 3 year old will like it. However, pick a warm weekend. The water is cold and it is mostly water stuff. I wouldn't do the drive and pay the entrance fee for the dry rides alone unless you have a big Sesame fan. There won't be particularly long waits in the fall. |
| We have kids the same age. We are just going to go for 3-4 hours one Saturday. We don't want to return after naps. Instead, we are thinking about getting a hotel in Philly and going to their zoo on Sunday morning. |

No advice as I have them same concerns about price and age of kids. But I did see a groupon today for 33% off. Every bit helps!

I have a promo code for $20 off of Sesame Place for weekends single day admission for Sept and Oct. I think you can use this up to 6 tickets.
Got it from a fundraising booklet I purchased from preschool months ago. So, you can have this OP if you want. I just need maybe a fax or an email, i can make a copy and send it as an attachment. It says you have to purchase online with them. |
