Jet-lagged babies?

We're flying to DC in January with 2 under 2 yrs from London UK
Can anyone give me practical advice for dealing with their jet lag (while dealing with my own)?
I have no idea how long their little systems will take to adjust.

Their systems will adjust quicker than yours. We flew from DC to UK and back with our two under 3 year olds and they were fine by about day 2, up a little earlier than usual, but fine. I was still jet lagged 5 days later when we returned home.

On the way there (so for your return), we tried to get them to sleep on the plane. when we arrived we went to the hotel and them immediately out to walk around and had breakfast/brunch. We took a nap and then tried to get them into bed around their normal bedtime. They slept in the next morning, which worked fine.

On the way home (your way here), we kept them up that night as long as we could (maybe 7pm) and they slept through until the morning -- maybe woke around 6am). I think it actually works to your advantage to be coming here first. They'll do fine!

Best of luck!
