Is this meat still ok?

I got a boston butt roast (basically a pork shoulder) from Peapod over a week ago. Since it's peapod, the packaging is a little different, there is a date on there, 9.20.13, but it doesn't say sell by or use by. It's just the date. Also, it's in a cryovac bag, for whatever that's worth. Assuming that date is the use by date, does that sound right? A pork roast still good to use for almost 3 weeks after it was packaged? I opened it an threw it in the crockpot this am.. it didn't smell bad. Thanks!

If it doesn't smell bad or look green it's probably OK. Is there a manufacturer's label on the package to look up?

cryovaced stuff lasts for several weeks. it is wet aged.
