What is the talent level and style of play for VRSC? It looks like Coppermine and VRSC have been added to the Pre-MLS NAL for the 2014’s.

These are 1st and 2nd teams of mostly MLS Next Tier 1 clubs.

Where’s the trolling? We are at VRSC because we live 5 minutes away. I see the college guys running the ‘academy’ and doing a piss poor job at it. I see the actions of the club don’t match with their words. And more importantly, I’ve been for over two years to witness the need for directors to jump on the new flashy shiny thing to maintain revenue. You’re not duping anyone about ‘talent’. My DS team is mostly former discarded players who didn’t make it at NVA.

VRSC is the next great club. Best coaching and facility. NVA favors boys over girls so girls should come to VRSC. GA is the dominant league and ECNL will fade away. FVU will lose their ECNL charter. Arlington will go GA. VRSC is = VDA.

It’s basically this narrative from the VRSC hats on every thread. I guess they need income to pay all of the infrastructure.

Are there really any material differences between any of these ECNL/GA clubs? We've been with several over the years and the experiences are all pretty similar. Can anyone point to any differences in how they train or philosophy to distinguish themselves? I haven't seen it. For sure some are more successful at recruiting and marketing. What else is different?

I don't see much difference either. There are a few good coaches and even those are mediocre. All of the clubs struggle to get their teams to a nationally competitive level. The FCV 07 team and the FCV 05/06 Team were good, but beyond that, where is the development. The clubs are constantly trying to steal the "good" players and not much more. In two years the landscape will be completely different as to where the goto league is. Players may be skipping the College level altogether to be paid.
