Recommend your enameled Dutch oven please

I know most here will say Le Crueset, but is it really the best for the amount of money spent? I've heard lodge has lifetime warranty. And cooks kitchen recommends tratomina. What do you have and are you happy and think its worth it?

I have few pieces of Le Creuset and use them all the time. If you shop around you can buy sale. They are the most expensive items in my kitchen but I cook a lot and use them all the time so I can justify the price.

I'd buy any brand not made in China. Sorry, Le Creuset.

Le Creuset is made in China? Since when?

My Le Creuset is made in France.

le creuset and martha stewart. Go to Marshalls - much cheaper. You just might have to wait for the size you want to be available.

Le Creuset. The cast iron is still made in France, the enameled stainless steel is made in China.

Lifetime guarantee and free replacement makes it absolutely worth it.

I have an oval one from Staub. It's quite heavy (I think that was one of Cook's Illustated complaints) but a wonderful piece of cookware. They are made in France.

Are le Crueset "seconds" ok? That's wht tj maxx/Marshall's sells.

All of mine (3 dutch ovens and one braiser) say France on the bottom and all of them were bought from Amazon. I recall one had a "second choix" sticker (second choice). Works like a charm and it was cheeper than buying from the store.

I have two regular (first choice?), and one "second". All three get pretty heavy use, including occasionally going in the dishwasher (as opposed to hand washing). The only difference I have noticed is the color on the "second" fades slightly--it's sort of ombré. This doesn't bother me at all.

Op here, thanks all! One last question...and ok ow first world problem... Do you buy one color and stick to it, or mix and match. I have red in my kitchen. I'm sort of over red, but until things wear out, I'm sticking with it. If really like a blue pan. Just hate tying mysel to a color though with that big of a cost.

I have yellow (3 pieces), red, kiwi and flame color. When you buy on sale, it is hard to stick to one color. And I dont like monochromatic anyway. My pieces are on display in my kitchen and I think they add to the coziness and brighten up the room. Just my personal preference.

I have the Emile Henry flame dutch ovens. They are lighter than cast iron and work similarly. Made in France.
