Would you put a ceiling fan in a small bedroom?

We just moved 7.5 mo old DS into his own room, and I'm thinking about a ceiling fan in there. We've talked for years about putting one in the master bedroom (floor fan runs 365 nights/year), and if we're going to buy and install one we might as well do any others we want at the same time. We'll also running a fan in DS's room all the time because he's used to having one on and we use it as white noise... and in that small room, it would be nice to not take up the floor space with the floor fan. Plus, he LOVES ceiling fans. Loves watching them when we're out places.

There's a good chance we'll need to move within a year though, and so I'm wondering what a potential buyer would think. Strange to have a ceiling fan in the smallest bedroom of the house? The room is definitely only big enough to be used as a nursery/child's bedroom or office.

Thanks for any feedback!

What are the dimensions of the room? I think ceiling fans are great in any bedroom.

A little less than 10' by 10'. It's a small room. Barely enough space for the crib, dresser and glider we have in there (I couldn't even put the glider ottoman in when we moved DS in there).

we have Minka fans in all our bedrooms and screed in porch.

We have them in all of bedrooms. Big and small. Do what works for you...the current people owning the house; not for some potential future buyer.

Lighting fixtures are easy to replace and I would hope that most potential buyers recognize this so I wouldn't worry about resale and install what works best fir your family.

I would. I thInk small bedrooms in particular can get stuffy, and fans help with that.

A fan would never stop me from buying a house-that's a change I can (and have) take care of myself if I want to get rid of it so it's cheap.
