I'm a jd who us bored in my university admin job, and I want to go out and practice. I'm considering getting an LLM (I have tuition benefits) but want to make this change with as much info as I can. Am considering T&E law, real estate, or something tax related. Where can I read more about these practice areas to learn about them, and get current job advice? I see that sort of thing here sometimes, but I'm looking for lots!
TIA |
| Don't know but it think it is important you time your llm well in terms of the economy. I would talk with people who actually work in these fields and see whatbtheynthink |
| abovethelaw.com for all the lawest law gossip. |

I'm not so much looking for big law gossip, as a source for better info on what it's like to practice in these various niche areas.
There are lots of university admin jobs. They have lots of pros. Go for it! |
Can you tell me where to look? |

| If you have not been practicing, you're not going to find a job. Sorry, but it's true. The market is crap. |
| BLT, Above the Law. |
| NP here. Seriously, I want your job. Being bored sounds nice. Hook me up, sister! |
| I would wait till the economy improves a bit. Otherwise, no one is going to hire you |
