Anyone recently travel to Brussels with kids? Need hotel help!

We will be traveling this summer to Belgium and I can't figure out where to stay. Anyone recently stay with kids at the Stanhope, Royal Windsor, Marriott or le Dixseptieme? Or someplace else that I should look at? Thanks!

The Marriott is the way to go. Great location. Check out TripAdvisor. I think they're ranked #1.

I have stayed at both the Royal Windsor and the Marriott. Royal Windsor is right on The Grand Place and across the street from the Central Gare (train station & metro). It is a nice upscale property with a nice pub restaurant. With kids, I would do The Marriott because you are really close to a grocery store and the rooms are a bit bigger. It is also centrally located and is a short walk from Grand Place.

OP Here. Thanks for all of the advice. I think I'll go with the Marriott.

Have any of you ever eaten at Chez Leon which is right near these hotels?

Hi, PP here again. I worked in Brussels for awhile so I know the city quite well. Chez Leon is a chain that specializes in mussels. There are other places to go for mussels - but with kids, this is actually a good choice. They can also have a nice dessert of crepes or ice cream. They have a child's menu (with pictures) and the price an atmosphere is reasonable and conducive to kids. If you are there in the summer you can sit at one of the outdoor tables. Another hotel option I wanted to mention are two chains: Novotel and Ibis. When work is paying I stay at The Marriott but when I'm paying I do Novotel or Ibis - price usually includes breakfast. They both have a property in the same are as Royal Windsor and Marriott.

Have you considered finding an apartment to rent? I haven't tried this for Brussels, but I have for other European cities and it can work much better with kids than a hotel.
