| I know we can all google, but does anyone have any experience -- or any friends who have moved off overseas with the "I'll find a job when I get there" view (for white collar jobs assuming general degrees -- not IT but definitely a college grad with some work experience)? I imagine you can't always do it due to visa concerns -- as in someone must sponsor you. I am kind of thinking about Toronto though I think the unemployment rate is massive, they do tend to have an affinity for US trained professionals sometimes. |

I've lived there for expat assignments. Great place to be stationed in Asia, definitely great starting point and yes, if you go there with a US/ UK/Canadian etc BA or master's you will be given a visa to look for a job for a year and will get hired. If you want to work in asia, HK has a much better lifestyle. |
