This nation gets way too excited about new pandas. Maybe if they let them live more naturally they would not have such a hard time reproducing. |

Sigh. They have an even more difficult reproducing in their natural habitat. It's how it is with an animal that can only get pregnant a few days a year. |
In nature they are not kept separate until the day that they are set to procreate. |

I worry more about this one dying in the next week like last time and having to talk to my kids about it..... again. Wish the whole affair would be more low key and celebrated when the thing is viable and thriving. |
In nature they separate themselves. They don't need to be kept separate because they naturally establish their own territories that are separate from one another. The only way to achieve that in a zoo would be to have a giant area with many square miles for the 2 pandas to share. |
