Withdrawl from DCPS

Anonymous
What is the process to withdraw from a DCPS? Moving out of state. BTW, called Central Office and was told to "ask my local school". Is there one standard process or is each school different? Why can I not find info on the DCPS website?

I called the DCPS where my daughter was accepted and they require me to come to the school to complete a withdrawal form. Since, supposedly, you are only allowed to register in one DCPS at a time, you should go to the school where you are registered.

I had to go to the school and do the withdrawal/transfer form.

Same here (withdrew from a DCPS this summer because we were moving out of state), it's a super short form that took literally 5 seconds.

I sent the DCPS a packet of info that our new school( in another state) sent to me, it contained a transfer or records request.
Also, when the re enrollment forms came out in the spring I filled out that we were not returning.

I called (after enrolling) to tell them I had accepted a spot at a charter. They said "thanks for letting us know."

Of course I still get invites to their PS playdates, so we will see if the DCPS cops come after DD.

The idiots at the school we applied to keep calling us to set up interviews, etc. even the declined the school weeks ago. Worse than a telemarketer. Even more reason not to send our child there. Morons.
